Hannah and I brought the 6 children out to visit with our spiritual family down at Kahal Schacha in Waynesville, Ga. I had the pleasure to play with Scott Riggs and his family band. The harmony of this husband, wife, and mother-in-law is a regular and beautiful gift given in worship at Kahal Schacha. They Riggs blessed me with the opportunity to join that beautiful offering to YHVH.
Kahal focuses on studying the Torah, Haftara, and the Brit Hadesha (New Testament). It's always a pleasure to sit in the company of people who read the Torah together, and then discuss the different conclusions we draw as we learn about our spiritual parents and the journey with YHVH in the wilderness. YHVH is a jealous God and he gets really "fired up" about his bride. (That's a pun, because the Torah portion this week is Beha'alotcha which mean "when you kindle" or "when you fire it up".)
